The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New England Patriots 17-10 Sunday at Heinz Field. The win snapped a Steelers three-game losing streak, and it was the first time in seven years that the Steelers topped the Patriots. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns. He was picked off twice. Running back Jaylen Samuels rushed for 142 yards. Joe Haden had a key interception for the Steelers.
The Steelers kept the Patriots from clinching the AFC East and maintained a half-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens. Baltimore defeated Tampa Bay Sunday. The Patriots fell to the third seed in the AFC behind Houston.
The Steelers improved to 8-5-1. They visit New Orleans Sunday for another 4:25pm kick-off.
Cleveland defeated Denver 17-16 Saturday and improved to 6-7-1.
Cincinnati defeated Oakland 30-16. The Bengals are now 6-8.
Sunday Night Football: Philadelphia remained in the NFC playoff hunt with a 30-23 victory over the Los Angeles Rams. The Eagles improved to 7-7 and are one game behind Dallas in the NFC East. The Cowboys were shut out 23-0 by Indianapolis.
Monday Night Football: Carolina will host New Orleans. The Saints are the NFC’s top seed by a half game over the Rams.
The Chicago Bears clinched the NFC North title with a 24-17 victory over Green Bay.
