Slippery Rock University kicker Jake Chapla has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division Special Teams player of the week for the fifth time this season. Chapla, a junior, booted a 32-yard field goal in the state championship loss to West Chester last week. It was his 35th career field goal, tying for the most in Slippery Rock history.
Slippery Rock will visit LIU-Post Saturday in the opening round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. Kick-off is set for noon. Hear the game on The Rock Station 97.7fm at 11:30am.
