The Pittsburgh Penguins lost the the New Jersey Devils 4-2 last night. The loss has dropped the Pens to just two points in front of the last-place Devils. Phil Kessel and Jake Guentzel scored for the Penguins. Goaltender Casey DeSmith took the loss, stopping 31 of 34 shots on goal.
The Pens were 1-for-3 on the power play, while holding New Jersey 0-for-2.
The Pens will host Tampa Bay tomorrow night. They are now 7-6-3 and remain five points out of first place.
