West Chester defeated Slippery Rock 33-10 Saturday to win the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference championship. West Chester jumped out to an early 21-3 lead and never looked back. The Golden Rams scored two touchdowns late in the second half after missed opportunities by Slippery Rock to get back into the game. The game was scoreless in the second half.
Slippery Rock quarterback Roland Rivers III managed to complete just six passes in the game and was intercepted three times. He was sacked five times.
Rock running back Wes Hills rushed 24 times for 92 yards.
West Chester quarterback A.J. Long rushed 30 times for 135 yards and a touchdown. He also threw three touchdown passes.
