Voters in Pennsylvania have until Tuesday to apply for absentee ballots for next week’s midterm election.
Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of State say absentee ballot requests are approaching the 200,000 mark. More than 95,000 absentee ballots have already been mailed in.
Political analyst Dr. Terry Madonna- of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster- says those high numbers reflect how active this election is expected to be.
“Most analysts believe we’re going to have a higher turnout this year, certainly higher than the turnout in 2014,” he said.
Butler County residents can print an absentee ballot application online– and then either hand-deliver it, or mail it, to the Butler County Bureau of Elections. That office is located in the Butler County Government Center- behind the Butler County Courthouse- in downtown Butler.
