Butler County Solicitor Mike English is leaving his post after he accepted a job with a local nonprofit.
English, who has been solicitor since 2013, accepted an offer from Passavant Memorial Homes to become vice president of trust services.
“It’s a great opportunity that he could not turn down,” Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche told our newsroom via email. ” We will very much miss him. He has been a tremendous asset to the County and to us as new Commissioners. He made our transition into office flow smoothly and has been a loyal and trusted adviser. We wish him well.”
Osche said the county is researching their options and are evaluating the best course of action for the solicitor position moving forward.
