A Butler County woman is facing charges after allegedly assaulting two Pennsylvania State Police troopers.
Officers were initially sent to the Forward Township home of 36-year-old Adrienne Hurd on Saturday after a pizza delivery driver called authorities to report he believed Hurd’s two children were in danger.
The driver believed Hurd was drunk and alone with a 1-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy. The driver allegedly saw Hurd leave the infant sitting outside alone eating cigarette butts while she looked for pizza money, according to court documents.
When troopers arrived, Hurd is accused of becoming irate and trying to shove and kick the troopers. She’s also accused of continuing to resist arrest after being taken to the police barracks where she allegedly threw a phone at another officer.
No officers were injured.
