Students have once again returned to Mars Area High School after a bomb threat forced another evacuation Wednesday morning.
According to a letter from Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley posted to the district’s website, once the district was made aware of the threat, Adams Township Police were immediately notified.
The school was closed and students evacuated to the Middle School as a precaution to allow for a sweep and thorough investigation. No device was found and students were returned to the building just after noon to resume normal class schedule. All evening activities at the High School will continue as previously planned.
On Tuesday, the high school was shut down and students evacuated after a bomb threat. Nothing was found and students returned to school about 2 p.m.
