Students have returned to Mars Area High School after a bomb threat forced an evacuation Tuesday morning.
According to a letter from Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley posted to the district’s website, once the district was made aware of the threat Adams Township Police were immediately notified.
The school was closed and students evacuated to the elementary school as a precaution to allow for a sweep and thorough investigation. No device was found and students were returned to the building just before 2 p.m. for normal dismissal.
All evening activities at the High school will continue as scheduled.
