–Butler defeated Central Catholic 2-1 in overtime. Tate Mohney scored both Butler goals, including the game-winner on a free kick in the overtime.

Girls Volleyball:
–Butler defeated Seneca Valley 3-2. It was the first time in over eight years that the Golden Tornado have topped the Raiders. (Scores were 23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 21-25 and 15-13.) Butler was led by Maria Lucas with 11 kills and 10 digs. Sophia Sacriponte had six kills and 10 digs. Taylor Welter had eight kills. Hope Fiorina had 23 digs. Butler will host Pine-Richland Thursday.

Girls Golf:

The Butler Boys Cross Country team defeated Hampton 23-33. The Girls fell 24-44.
The United States Junior Ryder Cup team defeated Europe 12-1/2 to 11-1/2 Tuesday at Golf Disneyland at Disneyland Paris. The most critical match of the day featured 16-year old Tennessee golf sensation Rachel Heck sinking a birdie put on the 18th hole to halve her match with England’s Annabell Fuller and secure the victory. It was the sixth straight Junior Ryder Cup win for the United States, and seventh in 11 tries.
