The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27 in their Monday Night Football game. The Steelers defense forced four Tampa Bay turnovers as the team improved to 1-1-1. The Steelers led by 20 points at halftime, but the offense was shutout in the second half. Tampa Bay made it a close game with two fourth quarter touchdowns, before the Steelers were able to run out the clock.
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was 30-for-38 and 353 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. James Conner rushed 15 times for 61 yards. Juju Smith-Schuster led the team in receiving with nine catches and 115 yards. Tight End Vance McDonald had four catches for 112 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown.
The Steelers picked off three Ryan Fitzpatrick passes.
The Steelers were heavily penalized again. 13-times for 155 yards.
The Steelers host Baltimore Sunday night.
