The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Kansas City Royals 7-6 last night in the first game of a three-game series at PNC Park. Catcher Jacob Stallings had a walk-off RBI single to win the game in the ninth inning. Stallings and Kevin Newman had three hits each. The Pirates had 16 hits in the game. The Bucs have now won three games in a row, and improved to 75-74 overall.
