Former Karns City soccer standout Emily LoPresti, a senior forward at Seton Hill, was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer player of the week. LoPresti led the Griffins to a pair of wins last week. She recorded four goals and added an assist in the victories. LoPresti scored the game-winning goal in overtime of both wins. LoPresti now has 16 game-winning goals in her career.
Butler County Community College Women’s Volleyball team defeated Westmoreland County Community College 3-0 Wednesday. Kenzie Craig led the Lady Pioneers with 21 assists and seven aces. Emily Magusiak had seven kills. Brooke Snow had six kills and Makenzie McDowell had 13 digs. BC3 improved to 4-2 and 2-0 in conference play.
