The Blackhawk Cougars dominated the Knoch Knights from start to finish on opening night of the Cougars new football stadium. Blackhawk started the game scoring two touchdowns with runs of 5-yards and 6-yards in the first quarter. After the first quarter, Blackhawk led Knoch 13-0. In the second quarter, Blackhawk scored two more rushing touchdowns, the first was a 25-yard run and the second was a 39-yard run. Knoch would finally get on the board with about 4:30 minutes left in the first half with a 59-yard touchdown pass and catch. While the Knights scored a touchdown, they had the extra-point blocked. Just before halftime, Blackhawk scored on a 44-yard touchdown pass and converted a two-point conversion after a bad snap on the extra-point try. At halftime, Blackhawk led 34-6. With about five minutes left in the third quarter, Knoch had their own punt blocked off of the bad snap which led to a Blackhawk touchdown and with the extra-point, the game was put into the mercy rule. The Knights then came back with ten seconds in the third quarter to score on a 4-yard touchdown run, but they failed to convert their two-point conversion try. After, three quarters the score was Blackhawk 41 and Knoch 12. The only scoring in the fourth quarter was a 4-yard touchdown run by Blackhawk and the final score was Blackhawk 48 and Knoch 12. With the loss, Knoch is now 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
