The Pittsburgh Penguins made one deal prior to Monday’s NHL trade deadline, adding center Josh Jooris from Carolina in exchange for Greg McKegg. Jooris had six points in 31 games with the Hurricanes. He will be assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Pens are expected to announce today a new five-year contract for winger Patric Hornqvist. The deal will average just over $5 million per season.
