The United States defeated Canada 3-1 Saturday night in the 4 Nations Face-off hockey Tournament in Canada. The game began with three fights in nine seconds, and ended with former Penguins winger Jake Guentzel scoring two goals. He was named the game’s First Star. The win locked a spot for the U.S. in Thursday’s championship game, which will be played in Boston.
Finland defeated Sweden 4-3 in overtime Saturday afternoon.
The tournament continues today. Finland and Canada face-off at 1pm. The United States will meet Sweden at 8pm. The games will both be televised on TNT, tru-TV and Max.
