A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Sunday afternoon near Moraine State Park.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. on Pleasant Valley Road, off Route 422, in Muddy Creek Township, according to the Butler County 911 Center.
“When I got there, there was a motorcycle laying on the side of the road and a truck that had been struck laying in the oncoming lane,” Adam Lutz said, a volunteer firefighter with the Portersville-Muddy Creek Volunteer Fire Department.
Early reports indicate the motorcyclist may have been speeding when he hit into the back of a pickup truck.
The man on the bike- thought to be in his 20s- was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital by medical helicopter. The truck driver was reportedly not injured.
State police are investigating but have not yet released more information.
